Cathcart Rail’s mechanical services will enhance safety efforts and improve customer support

COLUMBUS, OHIO – June 24, 2024 — The Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad (CORP) has partnered with Cathcart Rail (Cathcart) for handling of its railcar inspection and repair needs across its 362-mile footprint. Cathcart provides these services across CORP’s major yards in Roseburg, Cottage Grove, and Medford, Oregon.

Cathcart commenced operations in May 2024 as the sponsored repair agent for CORP with a team comprised of eight (8) carmen as well as a location supervisor.

John Bullion, General Manager of CORP, says that the reason they chose to bring the Cathcart team on board was to enhance the quality of railcars available for our customers. “The Cathcart team ensures the rail equipment operating on the CORP is safe and reliable for the customers, crews, and communities that we operate in and prevents undue delays of shipments,” said Bullion.

Casey Cathcart, Co-Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Cathcart, added, “we are looking forward to this new partnership and value the nearly two-decades long relationship between the Cathcart and G&W teams.”
